1. What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: email address, name (from OAuth provider)
- Billing information: processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
- Assistant information: status, creation date, resource allocation. Not the data inside your assistant.
- Performance metrics: CPU, memory, and disk usage of your assistant's server, collected every 2 minutes for monitoring and alerting. Retained for 7 days.
- Usage logs: server access logs for security and debugging purposes, retained for 30 days.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Your AI API keys
- Your conversations with your assistant
- Your messaging platform credentials
- Any data processed by your OpenClaw assistant
- The contents of files in your assistant's environment
Your OpenClaw assistant runs on its own dedicated server. We have administrative access to your assistant's server for the purpose of maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting, but we do not access your conversations, API keys, or personal data during normal operations. We use standard security practices but cannot guarantee absolute isolation.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the service
- To process billing and payments
- To send service-related communications (downtime, updates, billing)
- To detect and prevent abuse
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Essential - authentication, session management (required)
- Analytics - Google Analytics (GA4) to understand usage patterns
- Advertising - Google Ads and Reddit pixel for conversion tracking
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit.
5. Data Storage
Account data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. Assistant data is stored on encrypted volumes on our hosting infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.
6. Data Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your account data, remove your assistant(s), and delete all associated data. This action is irreversible. Please export any data you wish to keep before deleting your account.
Note that some data may be retained by third-party processors (such as Stripe for billing records) in accordance with their own retention policies and legal obligations.
7. Third-Party Services
- Stripe: payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google: OAuth authentication (if you sign in with Google).
- Your AI provider: data you send via your API key is subject to that provider's privacy policy. This is between you and your provider.
8. Your Privacy Rights (California)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete: You may request that we delete your personal information. You can do this directly from your account Settings page, or by contacting us.
- Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell your personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, use the data export and deletion features in your account Settings, or contact us at privacy@lobsterhelper.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days.
